Last week, I once again realized what a privilege I have. Thanks to the variety in my photography and film assignments, my work is rarely dull — and that is precisely why I enjoy it so much. For a new residential development, I created an atmospheric photographic impression of the surroundings of ’s-Graveland for the sales brochure of four detached villas to be developed.
Naturally, I scheduled the photography on a sunny day. At this time of year, everything is beautifully green, allowing the colors to stand out vividly in the brochure or on screen.
What made this assignment particularly enjoyable was the need to actively “search” for interesting compositions and elements within a defined area. That challenge encourages you to truly appreciate the beauty of the surroundings and the landscape during the shoot — something we may rush past too often in daily life.
In the area, I photographed, among other locations, Buitenplaats Trompenburgh and a striking artwork by Stichting Kunstbezit in ’s-Graveland.
