Interior Photography for Interior Builders

Documenting a retail interior in Laren

For reference and portfolio purposes for the interior builder, I photographed this retail interior in Laren.

Key principles of the retail interior

A strong interior design is about more than just attractive colours and materials. Customer and staff routes need to be practical and comfortable. Product presentation can be approached in various ways, but a key objective is encouraging customers to return more often. Ideally, a visit lasts just a little longer—giving customers more time to explore and, ultimately, to spend.

Interiors for businesses

Robin van Hoof Interieurbouw provides complete interior solutions. Sustainability, ease of maintenance, and functionality are always core principles—alongside budget, planning, and execution.

Planning a photoshoot in an open store

After the renovation, the chocolate shop is open five days a week. We planned the photography session during the quietest possible moments to minimise disruption for staff and customers. At times, I simply waited until customers had been helped before continuing with the shoot.
