Project photography commercial interior

Modern office interior inspired by aviation

For marketing and reference purposes for interior architect Wim van Evert, I photographed this office interior in De Meern. The design incorporates the aviation theme in creative and thoughtful ways.

Aviation as the central interior theme

The company that commissioned the office operates within the aviation industry. The aviation theme is woven into the design in a variety of ways: acoustic fabrics and printed carpets, for example. Aircraft-style windows also reappear in the system walls. The largest—and for the company, most important—element is the control room, where systems continuously monitor the software they have developed.

Glass and reflections

I found this project particularly challenging due to the extensive use of glass. With standard flat glass, it’s easier to control the angle of incoming reflections, but in this case the many curved glass walls made that a far more complex task.
