This Irish pub is special for several reasons. First of all, the (large) basement was only recently added to the house. The stained-glass panel in the ceiling allows daylight to filter in during the day. Another unique feature is its direct connection to the home cinema—making the outcome of the sports match on the big screen almost irrelevant.
This pub feels complete and as though it has existed for years. Recently, the interior builder crafted the bar, back bar and whisky cabinet, as well as the fireplace, wainscoting, and wooden floor. Even an authentic entrance is part of the design.
When I photograph cafés or pubs in people’s homes, I often think of the song Ons eigen café by Jan Leliveld while shooting.
It’s my passion to photograph the work of skilled craftspeople in the right way. Interior photography can be used on your website or social media, but it’s even more effective during (introductory) client conversations. Show what you’re proud of—so others understand why they should work with you.
