Over the past 12 months, I captured footage at the Renault Academy Centre: a year in review presented in both photographs and a film edit. People. Cars. Technology and interaction. That is essentially what I wanted to capture.
The automotive industry is highly dynamic: moving from combustion engines to hybrid and fully electric drivetrains. Technical staff are being retrained for the latest developments, and I documented this for the annual overview.
At various locations across the Netherlands, Renault Academy trains dealership employees in vehicle maintenance. There is strong focus on diagnostics and troubleshooting electrical issues. Visually speaking, however, I most enjoy filming and photographing technicians when they are hands-on—working with lights, wrenches, and screwdrivers.
In addition to the Renault brand, Renault Group Netherlands is also responsible for Alpine, Dacia and Mobilize
An impression film gives both you and me a clear sense of what takes place during these moments. Employees who are considering a training course are also supported in making their decision: is a Renault Academy Centre training right for me? They see that the training is interactive, varied, educational, and above all, engaging.
From this perspective, a year in review also serves as a tool to turn interest into actual participation. An excellent argument for investing in your own visual content featuring real people.
Watch a selection of the footage in the edit below, or browse the photos at the bottom of this page.
