Over the years, I have photographed for various hospitality entrepreneurs. At the moment, many of them are missing a significant part of their revenue. In the following way, I aim to support hospitality businesses.
In januari vorig jaar I photographed dishes at Sjiek aan de Amstel for the online ordering platform Uber Eats. Both the hospitality entrepreneur and the Uber Eats coordinator were very enthusiastic. Nevertheless, I discontinued the project after this first shoot. The proposed compensation per assignment turned out to be more than 50% overly optimistic. A remarkable way of doing business. I left it at that for quite some time.
Several of my clients became dependent on takeaway and delivery meals after restaurants were forced to close. Consumers are familiar with platforms such as Uber Eats and Thuisbezorgd, but these companies charge substantial commissions per order to hospitality entrepreneurs.
My experience with large takeaway and delivery platforms recently resurfaced in a conversation with my brother Willem. He developed an easy-to-manage ordering module for Restaurant De Plekk.
With strong attention to user experience for consumers and scalability for peak and off-peak kitchen capacity, Willem developed Lemmid Store. As of May 26, ’20, his platform is generating revenue for six enthusiastic entrepreneurs.
A Lemmid Store can generate revenue within a single day. My brother installs the store and structures the optimization for peak and off-peak kitchen capacity. I photograph the dishes on location and upload them to the Lemmid Store, including the corresponding product descriptions.
My brother and I are both entrepreneurs, firmly grounded. There is no expensive office. We are fully aware of the lost buffers and declining revenues many business owners are facing.
For that reason, Willem and I set up Lemmid Stores at a special rate. There are no startup costs and no fixed contracts. For Lemmid Store, the entrepreneur only pays for successful orders. Two percent. And that commission is shared between the two brothers.
For entrepreneurs who want to generate revenue through takeaway and delivery: ask me for a non-binding demonstration. It will get you excited.
I leave predicting the future to others. But as an entrepreneur, I believe having an additional sales channel to rely on is particularly valuable — especially in times like these.
The photos below were taken over the past period for various entrepreneurs. Doesn’t this look appealing? I’m ready for more.
