Reference photography of interior with wooden floor

Interior with characterful wooden floor

In a shop or showroom, you present your products at their best. But what if customers ask: what will this floor look like in our living room or on the landing? Give your products context with professional project and reference photography.

Project and reference photography

For introductory client conversations, professional project and reference photography is a valuable tool. With a broad range of your own imagery, you can show how your products perform in real-life settings. Professionally captured visuals provide a unique view of your product—shown in real kitchens, alongside real furniture and accessories. No complex studio setups or staged showrooms; these photos were created in under ninety minutes for a supplier of distinctive wooden floors.

Unique characteristics of wooden floors

Strong reference photography clearly shows the differences in the properties of wooden floors. Every wooden floor is unique. Unlike laminate flooring, for example, the grain pattern of wood varies from plank to plank. Colour and laying pattern also have a significant impact. But where high-quality photography truly makes a difference compared to average imagery is in capturing texture. Is there an edge finish or bevel? Is the surface smooth or more roughly treated?

Hungarian point, dark-toned with four-sided bevel

View a selection of images of a distinctive wooden floor. This floor is laid in a Hungarian point pattern and stands out due to its dark colour and rougher surface finish. The planks feature characteristic knots and saw marks, and all four edges are hand-finished—known as a four-sided bevel.
