Introduction of Audi Q6 e-tron

An event centered around the brand-new Audi Q6 e-tron. To ensure a smooth market introduction through the dealer network, the importer organized this multi-day event. The carefully crafted program deserved an aftermovie for several reasons.

Benefits and functions of an aftermovie

An aftermovie offers advantages for both attendees and the organization:

• Reliving the event: For participants, an aftermovie is an opportunity to relive the highlights. It brings back the atmosphere, music, and emotions.
• Marketing and promotion: Aftermovies provide a strong impression of the atmosphere, scale, and energy of an event. This helps attract visitors to future events.
• Evaluation and improvement: An aftermovie is a valuable tool for reflection and evaluation. It offers insight into which elements of the organization worked well and which could be improved.

Both a photo series and an aftermovie of the event: one-man band

I started offering video services alongside photography in 2019. Combining both disciplines allows me to deliver a versatile solution for events. Successful execution depends entirely on thorough preparation.

• Who is the target audience?
• For internal communication, I often create a second edit featuring participants sharing their experiences for evaluation purposes.
• For public communication, certain elements may be left out due to privacy or strategic considerations.
• The final event program serves as the guideline for recording moments and locations.
• Lastly, a key part of preparation is defining the main focus of the production: which aspects of the event should be emphasized in the edit?

For this event, I aimed for a dynamic edit featuring:

• the reception and opening by management representatives;
• various training sessions with interaction between participants, trainers, and vehicles;
• presentations by product experts on battery and charging technology, multimedia systems, and sales conversations;
• a dynamic driving workshop: driving the new Audi Q6 e-tron;
• and finally—no less important—an impression of the excellent hospitality provided to participants, including moments of relaxation, lunch, and refreshments.

One-man band: capturing footage in multiple locations with various equipment

Challenging? Absolutely. Switching between a photo camera, video camera, time-lapse setup, and drone footage—while also asking participants for short audio recordings reflecting on the training sessions. By the end of the day, I’m ready for a moment of rest. After that comes a sense of euphoria.

What makes this work special for me?

On a production day like this, everything comes together: a beautifully organized event, sufficient preparation time for detailed shot lists, and room for my own creativity. With confidence in a strong final result, I can fully utilize all the equipment at my disposal—from a stabilized 8K film rig to a motorized robotic system for cinematic shots. And of course, a drone is an essential part of the toolkit for dynamic aerial footage.
