Fresh products on the move for export

Corporate film about the logistics and transport of perishable products.

Fresh products have a limited shelf life. Transport and export therefore require extra care and attention. I created a corporate film showing the different stages of this process.

Products such as flowers, meat and fish have already travelled quite a distance before they reach the shops. When crossing borders, exporters arrange the necessary freight and export documentation. Together with careful handling and transport, this helps products reach their destination in the best possible condition.

For DutchQargo, I filmed different stages of this process at several locations. At the flower auction, I filmed the flowers before they were purchased. Afterwards, they were carefully packed and conditioned, ready to be handed over to the transport company for each destination.

Filming at the flower auction is always interesting. When you leave home early in the morning, it feels as if the rest of the world is still asleep. Until you arrive at the auction: by 4 a.m., everything is already up and running. It is impressive to see, hear and, with all those flowers, even smell the scale of this logistics hub.

Handling and customs checks at the warehouse

After filming at the flower auction, I followed several perishable shipments through DutchQargo’s warehouse. Here, shipments were sorted and checked to make sure customers received the right products. I also filmed customs inspections, where specially trained dogs checked shipments for drugs and other prohibited goods. Great to see from up close: the handler and dog really work as one team.

International transport

Once the products have been checked for completeness and safety, they are ready to continue their journey abroad. For DutchQargo, this means transport by truck or delivery to an international airport before continuing by air. For air freight, DutchQargo also arranges the necessary documentation and airport handling, taking a considerable amount of work off their customers’ hands.

Besides filming and editing the project, I also wrote the voice-over script, which I generated using AI.
